Lakes Health Care and
Rehabilitation Center, Inc is one of the recipients of “IPRO’S 2008 Quality
Awards.” The Quality Awards, given
annually by IPRO, New York
State’s Medicare Quality
Improvement Organization, recognize health Care providers that demonstrate a
commitment to improving health care services in the state.

Center, Inc. has shown that a collaborative, focused effort can lead to
tangible improvements in the quality of care delivered to New
York’s Medicare beneficiaries,” says Clare B. Bradley
MD, MPH, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Office, IPRO. “Quality improvement is a complex and
time-consuming process, and we thank Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation
Center for their
commitment to the health of New Yorkers.”
In
conferring the award at IPRO’S 24th Annual Membership Meeting on
June 3rd, Dr. Bradley noted that Clove Lakes received the award
because of “commitment to quality improvement activities resulting in
improvement in the clinical quality measures including: prevention and improvement
of treatment of pressure ulcers, reducing the use of restraints, and
maintaining a 0% chronic pain rate.”
Dr. Bradley added, “Clove
Lakes’ collaborative team
approach, continuous quality practices and programs, and system-wide commitment
have been instrumental in driving rates of improvement for the quality measures
and in enhancing the quality of life of the residents they serve.”

more than 20 years of experience in health care quality improvement and
